Thalavan is a Malayalam language thriller film directed by Jis Joy. The film features Biju Menon, Asif Ali, Miya George, Anusree, Dileesh Pothan and Kottayam Nazeer in lead roles.
Thalavan is a change of track for director Jis Joy, a brand ambassador for the light-hearted feel-good entertainers. The film revolves around the egos of two cops and the subsequent developments. The director succeeds in hooking the audience from the very first frame. The performance of the Biju Menon-Asif Ali team also strengthens the film.
Thalavan is the film that contains all the elements of an investigation thriller but engages in presentation, a cat-and-mouse game, and twists and turns. The final act ends without convincing or even a cliffhanger. Had the wow factor been added to the final act, perhaps Thalavan would have become one of the best investigative thrillers in Malayalam.

A good investigation thriller, but failed to give a wow factor in the final act!!
