Abraham Ozler is a Malayalam-language crime thriller film co-produced and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and written by Randheer Krishnan. The film stars Jayaram in the title role. The supporting cast includes Anaswara Rajan, Arjun Ashokan, Senthil Krishna, Arya Salim, Anoop Menon, Jagadish, and Dileesh Pothan
Starting from the first moment without any unnecessary ingredients, Abraham Ozler grabs the audience into the story. The tension builds, and the series of murders and interesting investigation leads to an action block in interval. But the action block situation reserved for the interval punch felt like an unnecessary and forced.
Not only did the much-hyped cameo appearance deliver its purpose, but it also erected the theatres with whistles and claps. But already Jayaram, as Ozler was tired of template hero characterization, The movie deserves better treatment in hero characterization. The later half is filled with flashback portions and crime details, cameo makes more impact and Jayaram is not in the picture.
The studies done in the medical field can be seen throughout the film, and the climax also emphasises such a medical set up.Every film in contemporary cinema, Ozler, also takes the lead in the second part.
Apart from Jayaram, Mammootty, and minor characters in the flashback portion, no one else had the opportunity to perform in the film. Theni Eshwar’s camera is brilliant for night shots. Midhun Mukundan’s music played an important role in giving for thrilling moments makes high.
Abraham Ozler would have a better experience if the attention given to medical research and detailing had been given to the hero’s character and writing.
Bottomline
A template medical thriller gives you a satisfactory feeling..
