What works
What happens when all the departments of a movie work out well? That’s the thrill, that’s Romancham. The new faces know the rhythm of the movie and give great performances, and the Soubin–Arjun Ashokan combo brings the movie to the height of laughter. Sushin Shyam‘s music is the heart and soul of the movie. Cameraman Sanu Thahir has given rich visuals to the film, which is confined inside a house, and editor Kiran Das has given it a crisp running time without being boring. On top of all this, Jithu Madhavan brings the movie to the pinnacle of entertainment with smartness in paperwork and an unpredictable plot. Romancham provides a full feast with comedy in every frame.
What doesn’t work
The time it takes to get into the track of the story leaves the audience wondering where the film is going, but the comedies make us laugh. Although the lead-in to the second part is annoying, by that time the film, which is the entertainment quotient, had fulfilled its role.
Bottomline
Brilliantly written horror-comedy entertainer!
