This masterpiece boasts exceptional direction, stunning visuals, captivating music, and an outstanding performance by Mohanlal. From the title card to the end credits, the director’s craft shines beyond expectations. Without relying on grand gimmicks like fancy coats, cool glasses, fighter jets, or pan-India appeal, Mohanlal’s grounded performance is incredibly efficient on screen. The cinematic brilliance is truly exceptional.
Jakes Bejoy’s score is terrific throughout the movie, and particularly phenomenal in the lodge and police station scenes, elevating the atmosphere from a theatre to a stadium. Shaji Kumar’s camera work is astonishing, with the dark frames set against the rain truly elevating the visual mood. The making, music department, and camera work all do justice to the brilliant script. With Mohanlal’s performance added to the mix, it’s a brilliant experience.
The new actor’s portrayal of the antagonist is truly exceptional, showcasing immense talent and potential. He will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to Malayalam cinema in the days to come. Further discussion would risk spoiling the experience, so let’s just say that the film’s impact lingers, much like the words “To be continued” at the end, courtesy of Tarun Moorthy. This film is a must-watch for anyone interested in quality storytelling.
Bottomline
Quality storytelling meets astonishing acting and delivers absolute cinema!!
