The Flash is a American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Double Dream, and the Disco Factory, and set for distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is intended to be the 13th installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

The flash is directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay by Christina Hodson and stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash alongside Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel VerdΓΊ, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton. In the film, Barry travels back in time to prevent his mother’s death, which brings unintended consequences.

When DC lined up all their superheroes in a single timeline of past, present, and future, DC fans were nostalgic and feasted.Exciting cameos by popular super actors like Michael keaton,Ben affleck,Gal gadot and jason mamoa added vigour to the feast. Ezra miller and Sasha calle shine as The Flash and Super Woman.

Technically better overall, though the VFX in the pre-climax scenes were not up to par. Many of the battle scenes weren’t even video game quality. Despite having all the trappings of a cool super hero movie, the thing that holds the movie back is the writing, the slowness of the narration, and the two and a half hour duration, which makes the movie above average.

DC has reserved an exciting cameo in the end credits. It is also a sign of more movies to come. Will the audience be careful not to miss the end-credit scene?

Bottomline

Exciting, but the writing drags the movie back…!!!
