Thank God is a Hindi-language fantasy comedy drama film directed by Indra Kumar. It is an official remake of the Danish film Sorte Kugler, and stars Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh.
What works
Thank God, Following in the footsteps of Danish film Sorte Kugler and Korean film Along with gods. It entertains with the freshness of the theme and the performances of the stars. The emotional scenes and some comedies hold the audience in the enjoyment space of the film.
What not works
The freshness of the theme is not seen in the film’s storytelling and is often close to the melodramas of the 1990s. Without doing justice to the core subject of the film, it tries to create a 2022 cliche Bollywood movie by inserting item dance and comedy, but still looks like it is from the 1990s. The extreme melodrama in the climax reminds me popular 1990s movies. Thank God not need a big star like Ajay Devgn, he didn’t have anything special to do.
