Sita Ramam is a Telugu-language romance film written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. It is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur (in her Telugu debut), Rashmika Mandanna and Sumanth .
Expectations
Sita Ramam is the latest release in Tollywood which is struggling with continuous box office failures.
Dulquer salmaan‘s presence has an identity in the Tamil-Malayalam markets. It remains to be seen how well the film will be received in Kerala, Dulquer’s strong market, amid the flood situation. The late arrival of the Hindi version of the film to the almost dead Bollywood market also keeps the box office prospects in check.
The makers have put their faith in the successful promotional activities and the acceptance of the songs and promos.
What works
Hanu Raghavapudi mentioned at the audio launch, his previous movies have 2nd half syndrome. he is good at telling a love story well, fails miserably in the second half, but here the picture is different. Here, with the narration emphasized by the director in his Strong Zone, the tear-jerking love story combines patriotism and India-Pakistan issues and ends magnificently. The audience who leaves the theater in tears will understand that the director’s second half syndrome has been resolved this time.
The movie is moving forward on the shoulders of stars Dulquer and Mrunal takur. Their chemistry and brilliant performances were the lifeblood of the film. Especially Mrunal takur, she is fabulous as sita.
Rashmika mandanna‘s presence added another color to the film. Matured faria is a turning point in her career, which was propelled by her cute performances.
All those who have come and gone have done well in small roles and made their mark. Apt casting was also a highlight of the film.
PS Vinod captures the period 1964-1985 like a pictorial poem and presents brilliant visuals. Kashmir frames are also good..
It can be said that Vishal ChandraShekhar rained love by giving a pulse to the most intense love poetry. His background score and some instrumental score is emotionally balanced the scenes and conveyed brilliantly to the audience.
What not works
The beginning portions of the story and some of the comedy scenes are annoying And need to trimmed. Slow pace in some places but common In type of genres.
