Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is a 2023  Hindi-language courtroom-drama film, Based on 2013 rape case of a minor fought by Adv. P. C. Solanki against Asaram Bapu. directed by Singh Karki and produced by Zee Studios along with Bhanushali Studios. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee as the lead.The film brings back the team of Manoj Bajpayee and Suparn Verma, who earlier collaborated for The Family Man. The film was released on 23 May 2023 on ZEE5.

Courtroom drama is Bollywood’s favourite formula that is tried-and-tested. With power-packed punchlines, influential lawyers fighting high-profile cases, and the verdict mostly giving out a strong message, courtroom tales are known to be gripping. Directed by Apoorv singh garki with actors Manoj bajpayee in lead role, it’s surely a brave and relevant film that tackles a rather complex issue – Pocso.

Through its intriguing narrative, director Apoorv tackles the sensitive issue of rape, while throwing light on abuse of power, dynamics of privilege and the absolute need for consent, will and permission when it comes to sex. The film doesn’t feel dragged at any point and sends out the messages it intends to, quite early on. It touches upon its main premise of making the audience aware of pocso.The courtroom scenes are loaded with data, statistics, facts and figures laid out on a platter for you to digest at one go. 

The film makes for a gripping watch with a crisp runtime and top-notch performances. Manoj Bajpayee is intense, brooding and riveting all at once. He is simply brilliant as he owns every minute that you see him on screen.Other important character’s not well rooted or not carrying depth . To conclude,  is a well-timed film with the POCSO cases are raising& still finding its ground.
