What works
Roy is the story of the protagonist who doesn’t know what is a dream and what is reality and his journalist wife who loves him dearly. The above mentioned elements alone were enough to make an interesting plot. Roy is a psychological thriller film. The title character played by Suraj Venjaramoodu drives the film both performance wise and story wise. Also, stars like Shine Tom and Sija Rose also performed well. Technically, the film presents a decent sound.
What doesn’t work
Many of the film’s sub plots are confusing without giving importance and explanation, while moving along interestingly. The film builds up the tension and collapses at the high point as it nears the climax. The director ends the story by telling half. The entire film is wasted by a climax that is simply pointless.

Everything comes crashing down in the 15-minute climax..
