Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum is a Malayalam comedy-drama film written and directed by Akhil Sathyan. Produced by Sethu Mannarkkad under the banner of Full Moon Cinema, the film stars Fahadh Faasil and Mukesh. The film’s music is composed by Justin Prabhakaran and the cinematography is done by Sharan Velayudhan Nair.

Pachuvum Athbuthavilakkum is a feel-good entertainer that is similar to Sathyan Anthikkad movies. Even though there have been many movies of this type, these types of movies talk about typical Malayalee and are always interesting to the audience. Such films continue to entertain audiences even today.

Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum is enjoyable for the audience by making them laugh, think, and make their eyes water. Director Akhil Sathyan has handled the film well with good writing; it can be said to be an impressive debut. Justin Prabhakar’s blissful music helps to enhance the mood.

Fahadh. How does an actor do a similar role for the second or third time and still make it seem fresh and, in fact, deliver an even better performance than the previous ones? I’m not sure about other actors, but Fahadh certainly knows how to do it.

In spite of the presence of Fahadh and others, the one actor who makes a strong impression is Dhwani Rajesh (Beyond clouds), as the pivotal character that transforms the lead character’s life. I hope we will get to see her in more films because she is such a natural and confident actor. And I hope she gets some really strong roles. The Fahadh-Anjana Prakash combo performance is worth mentioning. Anjana Prakash manages to hold our attention in every single scene she is in. Another notable performance is that of Viji Venkatesh, which is a huge plus. She delivered emotions perfectly with Vineeth’s combo scenes.

The main drawback of the film is that it is a bit lengthy and could have been better if cut by 10-15 minutes.

Bottomline

A Feel Good Family Entertainer!!
