Neymar is a Malayalam movie directed by Sudhi Maddison. The film features Mathew Thomas,Naslen,Johny Antony in the lead roles. The film which tells the story of  two close friends , Kunjava and Sinto, both ardent football fans and how their life changed after met a dog named Neymar.  It also highlights the close bonds of human with animal and their emotional attachement. Written by Sudhi Maddison jointly with Paulson Skaria, Adarsh Sukumara, the film is produced by Uday Ramachandran and Padma Uday. Shaan Rahman composed music for the film. The cinematography is handled by Alby and Noufal Abdullah is in charge of editing.

The good performances of Naslen and Vijayaraghavan added to the comedy scenes, and the performance of Neymar the dog can be said to be the main positive. The last 20ā€“30 minutes of action scenes and the dog competition were a plus for the movie. Shaan Rahman’s music brings life to the climactic scenes. Shaan Rahman’s music is excellent, but the director fails to match the visuals to the songs except for the climax. Pet lovers will connect, but the comedy-emotional scenes were layered in many places.

The performance of Neymar the dog is worth mentioning, but the director fails to create enough scenes. Not only did the scenes created for the romance part not work well, but the story did not progress along that line. Along with this, the long running time harmed the film.

Bottomline

Neymar,has its moments!!
