What works

Mei Hoom Moosa is director Jibu Jacob‘s better work in recent times. Story wise the movie was fine and rich with one liners. For family audiences who enjoy contemporary TV comedy shows, the movie and humor may work out.

Coming without expectations is the main positive factor of Mei Hoom Moosa. The beauty of the movie is some of the surprise factors that give in that hopelessness. Suresh Gopi, who has not done much comedy in his career, is the main attraction of the film. He balancing helplessness and comedy at the same time. He excelled at the screen with comic timing, Some of Harish Kanaran‘s situational comedies also worked out.

What not works

The film does not do justice to the core of the story by making a serious subject humorous and adopting an outdated method of making. While cracking jokes, the film struggles with lazy writing and an imperfect screenplay. Half-baked climax and editing glitches are some of the flaws of the film. Neither the songs nor the technical aspects of the film were good anywhere. Even when the jokes work out, many of the jokes fail miserably. The film is also weighed down by some politically oriented dialogues. The quality of the film has also been affected by the fact that the co-stars other than the main stars have not lived up to the standard.

Bottomline

Outdated, it may work for family audience!!
