Maamannan  is a Tamil-language political thriller film written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. The film stars an ensemble cast that includes Vadivelu, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh and Udhayanidhi himself.

Mamannan is a Mari selvaraj mark social-political drama . Fahadh Faasil, with a fiery performance on one side, and Vadivelu, on the other side, with a serious character that will change his career in Tamil cinema. Udayanidhi, with a decent performance and a lifetime role And if this is not enough,AR Rahman’s mesmerising music is also very nerve-wracking. Theni Eshwar’s framing, combined with MarI Selvaraj’s symbolism and staging of situations, left the audience in awe of the first half. The interval block is the only high point of the film and holds the film together for the first half got stronger.

In the second half, when the movie moving into politics, the movie was dragging. Except for a few scenes, many of them mirrored the previous election-based films. Overall, Maamannan ends up being a passable political drama on the strength of a good first half.

Bottomline

Passable socio-political drama!!
