Kasargold is a Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by Mridul Nair who co-wrote the screenplay and dialogues with Sajimon Prabhakar. Produced by Yoodlee Films, the film stars Asif Ali, Sunny Wayne and Vinayakan in the lead roles. The film follows the journey of Alby to recover the smuggled gold worth crores after they get lost in an accident with Faisal’s car.
If the director Mridul nair thought that he could follow that line by including RDX, Ajagajaantharam, and Thallumala vibes, then he went wrong right there. At first, 20 to 25 minutes later, Kasargold flies like a kite that has been released. Despite having many important characters, the film is limited to Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne without any development. The characters of Siddique and Vinayakan are mere spectators.
After the first half, the film falls into a regular revenge drama and drags towards the climax, which affects the enjoyment. The climax leaves the audience reeling amid illogical surroundings. Of course, just changing the climax after the first show on the first day does not make the movie enjoyable.
All the stars, including Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne, get roles that they have done in the past or other characters that are in their shadow from Kasaragod. Amidst these vulnerabilities, Vishnu Vijay’s music and background music stand tall.

Uninteresting plot, zero emotion, and no thrill.
