What works

Nikhil and Chandoo Mondeti are a successful combo, and they have done it again with Karthikeya 2. Congratulations to director Chandoo Mondeti for writing an intriguing thriller that successfully connects the past and present worlds. His writing is excellent, and he provides the audience with thrilling and suspenseful moments. What makes Karthikeya 2 interesting is the mystery of what will happen next. The audience is captivated by the quest to discover the truth.

Nikhil void with a strong performance. He has grown up a lot as an actor and is now quite comfortable with his role. He plays an important role in convincing the audience that what we are seeing is true and not fiction.

The film’s surprise package is Kaala Bhairava and his stunning music score. He astounds the audience with spellbinding BGM that elevates the film to a whole new level. With the enchanting BGM, even the most ordinary scenes elevate well.

Not only does the film have thrills, but the director added fun by casting Srinivasa Reddy and Viva Harsha in roles that are both solid and entertaining. Anupama Parameswaran gets a good part and does well in it. Anupam Kher shines in a small but significant role.

Karthik, the cameraman, deserves special mention. His visuals and colour tone for the adventure scenes are excellent. The editing is also impressive, as there is little lag between scenes.

The dialogues are pretty good, especially those for Anupam Kher. The production design is rich, and the visual effects are quite realistic. The costume design, props used, and locations chosen are all excellent.

What not works

The fact that Karthikeya 2 is not a sequel to Karthikeya may catch on with the Telugu audience, but the other audiences don’t feel complete, especially the hero characterization. The time and scenes given to hero characterization were not enough to understand who Karthikeya is. Cinematic liberties can be justified, but some scenes defy logic

Bottomline

Fascinating fantasy tale!!!
