Kanguva is an Indian Tamil-language epic fantasy action film directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green, together with UV Creations. The film stars Suriya in dual roles, alongside Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, and Mansoor Ali Khan.

The film’s technical aspects are truly remarkable. The makeup and artwork are meticulously done, adding depth and authenticity to each periodic portion. Every detail, from character designs to set pieces, showcases exceptional craftsmanship. The fight scenes are expertly choreographed, delivering adrenaline-pumping action sequences that keep viewers on the edge. The film’s visuals are breathtaking, with stunning cinematography and clever use of lighting. Each frame is a work of art, transporting audiences into the world of the film. Great production values are evident throughout, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Devi Sri Prasad’s atrocious music single-handedly sinks the film, accompanied by relentless shouting from the cast. The experience left a lingering discomfort, like the aftermath of a heavy storm. Momentary comedic relief couldn’t salvage the disappointment.

Suriya’s efforts were overshadowed by poor execution and jarring background scores. The climax’s surprise fell flat, feeling like a forced attempt at setting up a sequel. The movie’s potential was wasted on loud, cringeworthy moments and mismatched collaborations.”

“Current generation scenes are utterly disappointing. The 30-minute segment featuring Suriya, Yogi Babu, K.S. Ravikumar, Kingsley, and Disha Patani is unwatchable, with Yogi Babu’s antics being particularly cringeworthy. However, the historic portion showcases exceptional craftsmanship from the team, and Suriya’s dedication shines through. The stark contrast between these two segments highlights the film’s unevenness.

“Suriya delivers a standout performance, showcasing his exceptional talent, particularly in the periodic portion. Unfortunately, the supporting cast fails to match his intensity, leaving his character somewhat isolated in its brilliance.”

Bottomline

Suriya’s efforts are overshadowed by poor execution, loud music, and weak storytelling. Lacks emotional depth and strong character sketches.
