What works
India Lockdown is a film directed by Madhur Bhandarkar based on the corona pandemic that shook the world and the lockdown period that paralyzed India. The film captures the glimpses of the experiences of the Indian people during the lockdown. The highlight of the movie is that it is possible to relate through experiences. The excellent performances of the stars also added fuel to the film. The technical department contributed fine in delivering flawless film.
What doesn’t work
The film gives a documentary feel even as it marks the lockdown period. The emotional connect is lost when trying to interlink the five stories. Even if the climax is on track, the film was sometimes over-dramatic with forced dialogues. The film is often over the top with vulgarity and the adult-looking dialogues destroy the serious mood of the film.
Bottomline
Relevant subject, but lacks intensity!!
