Movie release of star hero on special days is celebration at box office. So what if the film of two leading stars hit the theaters on the same day? That too on Dussehra day. Tollywood is going to witness such a celebration on October 5th. Nagarjuna‘s The Ghost and Chiranjeevi‘s Godfather are the films hitting theaters on Dussehra. Let’s see what expectations these movies give to the box office.

The Ghost is an action thriller film written and directed by Praveen sattaru. Sri Venkateswara Cinemas and North Star Entertainment are producing it. Nagarjuna, Sonal Chauhan, Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran, Manish Chaudhari, Ravi Varma, and Srikanth Iyengar star in the film.

Ps Garuda Vega is enough to understand the talent of director Praveen Sattaru. Such a director and Nagarjuna coming together is what gives life to the expectations on The ghost. The released promos got a good response but the movie with a pre-release buzz of more than 20 crores has not been able to make any movement in the ticket window before the release.

Godfather is a political action-thriller film directed by Mohan Raja and produced by Ram Charan, R. B. Choudary, and N. V. Prasad through Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. Chiranjeevi plays the title role in the remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer, which also stars Salman Khan, Nayanthara, Puri Jagannadh, and Satyadev Kancharana.

Godfather has been the talk of the industry since its inception due to its size in casting and being the remake of Lucifer, biggest Malayalam blockbuster of all time. The presence of a promising director named Mohan Raja also fueled the expectations. But the released promos went viral on social media as troll material and Mohanlal – Chiranjeevi comparisons pulled back the expectations of the film. The Vfx glitches also loomed large in the trailer. That’s why Salman Khan‘s Tollywood entry didn’t get enough attention. The box office failure of recent Chiranjeevi films also led to lukewarm responses at the ticket window prior to release.

As the two films compete with each other and beyond the fight, Content’s success will be reflected at the box office. The fact that veterans Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi much need a hit during the chariot race of young stars in Telugu cinema. After every battle at the box office, cinema, the confluence of arts, wins.
