ET is Suriya‘s next film after Sooraraipottru and Jai Bhim, which was released on the OTT platform in a row. This is the Suriya movie that came to the theaters after a long two and half years.
Pandiraj, who is known for his rural family films, has directed the film under the banner of Sun Pictures.
Expectations
Suriya fans are looking forward to the movie.
ET is a rural mass entertainer who comes after a long hiatus in suriya‘s career. Also, the production house Sun Pictures and the latest sensation Priyanka Mohan as the heroine are the factors that bring the audience closer to ET.
Suriya fans are expecting another rural mass entertainer like Vel from Pandiraj , a friend of rural family entertainers. It is also a fact that pre-release songs, promos and trailers have not been able to make an impact.
What works
Suriya excells in action scenes with flexibility. Terrific in sentiment scenes.
Priyanka Mohan captures the audience with her innocent act. The first half, which focuses on entertainment, is enjoyable. Interval action scenes and interval end are a plus for the film.
What not works
The movie Struggles and Loose continuity in the second half. The director, who is also a writer, failed to convey the social message. The stretched second half and the over-dramatic climax are the main drawback of the film.
Technical side
The songs that D Imman has given for the film are of absolutely average quality. The background score often caused fluctuations in quality. Cinematographer R Ratnavelu excelled with visuals in action scenes, though not to say the best visuals. The action scenes can be called okayish.
Bottomline
Cliched Social drama, that Work in Parts. Family audiences may like it. Movie for B ,C centers.
