Enkilum Chandrike is a malayalam movie directed by Adithyan Chandrasekhar starring Suraj Venjaramoodu, Basil Joseph, Saiju Kurup and Niranjana Anoop. The feature film is produced by Vijay Babu and the music composed by Ifti.

What works

The plot of this film revolves around three friends, Suraj Venjaaramudu, Basil Joseph, and Saiju Kurup. They are club members who are attempting to resolve their issues. While attempting to achieve this, they encounter difficulties, and the film depicts how they resolve these issues, which eventually threaten their friendship.

Jithin’s DOP was good, and his visuals perfectly captured the ambiance of the plot. Ifti’s songs were fine. Background scoring was appropriate. Even though it is a comedy, we may feel that it moves at a sluggish pace at times.

What Doesn’t work

We have to say that Adithyan Chandrasekhar failed to impress as a storyteller, and the screenplay was also not that great. The plot setting was excellent, and there was potential for a hilarious comedy. But they ruined it with careless storytelling. They failed to persuade the audience of their predicament, and the comic portion was mediocre most of the time. Aside from some laughs, which were mostly created by Basil Joseph and Saiju kurup with their dialogue delivery style and routine expressions, there was nothing in it.

Enkilum Chandrike failed to provide anything new to the audience, and you will get nothing from it after sitting in the cinema for two hour.

Bottomline

Weak as a comedy entertainer!!!!
