Demonte Colony 2 is a Tamil-language supernatural horror thriller film directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by Bobby Balachandran under the banner of BTG Universal, together with Gnanamuthu Pattarai and White Nights Entertainment. The sequel to Demonte Colony (2015), Arulnithi reprises his role as Srinivasan, alongside Priya Bhavani Shankar, Archana Ravichandran, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, Meenakshi Govindarajan, and Sarjano Khalid.

Ajay Gnanamuthu, the man behind the Demonte colony, Imaikka Nodigal, and Cobra. Cobra was a huge flop when the first two films were hits. After the failure of Cobra, which moved away from its safe zone, Ajay Gnanamuthu is coming with the sequel of his first film, and expectations are high.

When it comes to Demonte Colony 2, things are clear; the sequel has a story environment that is in contrast to the first part, but Ajay Gnanamuthu’s direction is perfect in connecting the two parts with an emotional connection. Later, ghost theories and condom physics theories, which are not familiar to Indian cinema, give a new experience to the audience. With Priya Bhavani Shankar joining Arun Nidhi, the audience is getting hooked on the movie.

Some out-of-the-box ideas are tested along with new ghost theories, which also elevates the film to excellence. Sam’s music and background music further evoked the horrors of the Demonte colony. Even when trying to elevate scenes with maximum VFX, the technical finesse is annoying.

Bottomline

Proper sequel well connected with the core story. Some out-of-the-box ghost theories and ideas are well executed. VFX could have been better!!
