Dasara is a Telugu-language period action adventure film written and directed by debutant Srikanth Odela. It stars Nani and Keerthy Suresh. The film is set in the backdrop of Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani of Telangana. The film was announced in October 2021 with principal photography commencing in March 2022. The film has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

An old concept presented in an artistic, realistic, and emotional manner. Set in the 1990s in a mining village, the film is about a Dharani, a drunken guy, and his friend, and then some tragic incidents occur, and the Lead Actor takes on the path to vengeance, such is the story that our Forefathers saw back in the 90s, but the screenplay is okayish and entertaining.
Nani, as Dharani, plays the role exceptionally well, demonstrating how a drunken person’s day goes without flaws. Keerthy Suresh, who played Vennela, a village girl, brought the character to life by being so natural and native. Shine Tom, the politician, played a bigger role in the film. The Man doesn’t speak with words only with his eyes and that’s how director created and Framed him. The others Deekshith Shetty , Saikumar, Samuthirakani , and the rest of them all delivered an Exceptional Performance without any regret.
The Cinematography and Visuals are stunning and the Color tone is aptly set for a mine Village . The mine locations are shown in an Artistic way.Director Odela seems focused more on recreating 90s ambience. In each scene, each frame audience can see the utmost care had been put into to make an authentic 90s era story. Odela and his production team passed with distinction in this aspect.
The Costumes are perfectly set for each character and characters’ diction, their body language etc. are so perfect. The Music, Lyrics are like a Poetry sung from the Heart and are truly Enticing. The Dances are good.

The stunt sequences are over the top and raw, and they make too much noise in the climax. The over-the-top action scenes are justified because they serve a purpose and set the stage for the climax firework sequences from the very first shot in the film.
Dasara has its own merits and demerits equally. Odela’s characters are more than just visually appealing. Films with this backdrop have the scope to deliver heart-touching emotions, but the director has failed to deliver the emotional threads within. Some emotional scenes remind us of a typical sentimental film. The violence is a bit more, but the stunning climax with Santhosh Narayan The background score ends on a high note.

Bottomline

Winner!!!!
