What works
Mammootty and his swag and style stand out throughout the film. Cinematographer Faiz Siddik has captured it brilliantly. Justin Varghese‘s background score not only forms the backbone of that swag but also elevates the scenes.
Christopher is considered to be one of director B Unnikrishnan‘s best works. In a star-studded movie, all the characters have given their best and done justice to the characters.
What doesn’t work
Although technically sound and well-made, the film suffers from predictability and a lack of surprising moments. Writer Udayakrishna‘s writing was often incoherent, and the fact that all the female characters except the heroine played by Sneha are raped may seem silly to the audience. The 150+ minute film not only stretches like a rubber band but also questions logic. Another downside is that the sudden climax and villain have become hallmarks of regular commercial films.
Bottomline
It was a decent cop thriller, but it could have been better!
