Chaaver is a Malayalam-language political action thriller film directed by Tinu Pappachan from a story written by Joy Mathew and produced by Arun Narayan and Venu Kunnapilly under the banner of Kavya Film Company and Arun Narayan Prouductions. The film stars Kunchacko Boban, Antony Varghese, Arjun Ashokan and Sajin Gopu in lead roles. The cinematography is done by Jinto George, and Nishad Yusuf is the editor. The music is composed by Justin Varghese.
Chaver’s journey is not on the path of previous Tinu Pappachan films. The first half focuses on the political surroundings rather than the story or the characters. The slow-paced story picks up momentum in the final minutes. slow-paced political thriller that works in the final 25 minutes, but that’s not enough to pull the whole movie together. The situation is clear when it is said that Tinu’s excellent direction, Justin Varghese’s terrific music score, and Jinto george’s eye-catching visuals could not have overcome the weaknesses of the script.Β
Death atmosphere in home and music by Justin Varghese and Anthony Varghese stand as a heartwarming spectacle beyond the cinema. Ranganath Ravi’s sound mixing for the movie is alive and kicking especially the interval bang.
Β In Chaver,Tinu brings Kunchako Boban’s raw and violent face , It was successful to some extent. Antony Varghese’s character plays a different role ,also his career.
Bottomline
Technically superior, but the script makes it dull.
