Cadaver, Tamil investigative thriller movie starring Amala Paul, was digitally released on August 12. The film, in which Paul plays a police surgeon trying to crack the mystery of a high profile murder, has been released on Disney + Hotstar.
What works
In a world full of mass stories and unwanted hero introβs Cadaver stands par apart in terms of script and screenplay. Good try and engaged one with the backdrop of Police surgeon (a department of forensic medicine ,Pathology & Psychology).The result of the maker’s research for the story can be seen in the screen. Good detailing of case studies and Medical autopsy detailing are informative. Good second half with emotionally connected flashback are asset to the movie and Couple of surprising twists are there.
Amala paul is effortless on screen and good choice as a producer. Good support from the supporting cast and they did it so well. Especially Adith arun ,this may be important character in his career. Aravind singh’s visuals and Ranjin raj‘s music done justice for the genre.
What not works
Cadaver follows the regular path of the investigation thrillers we have seen so far. The use of biblical words and twists and turns found in recent thrillers can also be seen here. The film would have had a greater impact if non-linear editing had been used without spoon-feeding narration.

Emotionally conveyed engaging thriller!!!
