What works
Writer-director Vipin Das smartly makes use of the popular filmy musical game as a tool in this Malayalam serial killer thriller, Most of the characters names were real singers – Das, Kishore, Chithra, Jayachandran, Sreenivas, Karthik, Sreekumar, Hariharan, Sujatha, Vasudevan, Unni etc. and making it work considerably.
The movie is thrilling with good performances and music till the climax. Ramesh Kottayam and the bullet-loving boy put on an extraordinary performance. Bablu Aju‘s cinematography and Arjun S Mani‘s sound plan works out in a good way for the tragic mind-set of the film.
What not works
There is a fascinating collection of unwanted subplots in which the director and the audience alike do not have an answer.When the movie was over, it felt like there was still a lot of work to be done.
