2018 is a Malayalam disaster film directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, who wrote the screenplay with Akhil P. Dharmajan. The film is based on the 2018 Kerala floods. It features an ensemble cast that includes Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Kalaiyarasan, Narain, Lal, Indrans, Aju Varghese, Tanvi Ram, Shivada, and Gauthami Nair.

The first thing a film maker considers while filming a movie about a natural disaster is whether it is technically feasible, combined with emotions. This is where 2018 stands out; it offers a cinematic experience that is both technically and emotionally sound.

The foundation of the film was first-rate artwork of Art director Mohan Das his craftsmanship, and Akhil George’s cinematography. The crowds in the theatre were whistling and clapping to the thrilling music of Nobin Paul and terrific performances of the lead cast icluding Tovino Thomas,Lal,Asif Ali, Narain etc. 2018 offers the spectator an extraordinary theatrical experience filled with breath-taking moments.
